Due to health concerns relating to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 National Charter Schools Conference in Orlando, FL, has been canceled. 

We recognize COVID-19 has had a significant impact on PreK-12 schools. Many charter schools and their partners are eager to connect, share best practices, learn from others in the sector and rebuild community. Kicking off on July 16, 2020, and continuing July 23 and July 30, NCSCvirtual will include keynote speakers, over 20 breakout sessions, and online networking opportunities to connect with your peers around the country. If you previously registered for NCSC20, we created a simple process for you to use a portion of your registration to cover the virtual conference and transfer the remaining balance to NCSC21 in New Orleans. What will happen if I cancel my registration for NCSC20?

 We are offering the following options for NCSC20 registration fees:

  • Transfer part of your fee towards the NCSC20 Virtual Conference and receive a refund for the remaining balance. Please allow up to 60 days for funds to be processed and credited back to your account.
  • Transfer part of your fee towards to NCSC20 Virtual Conference and credit the remainder of your 2020 National Charter Schools Conference registration fee toward the 2021 National Charter Schools Conference in New Orleans.
  • Receive a full refund. Please allow up to 60 days for funds to be processed and credited back to your account.
  • Credit your full 2020 National Charter Schools Conference registration fee toward the 2021 National Charter Schools Conference in New Orleans.

All currently registered attendees will receive a separate e-mail that will allow you to make your selection preference for what to do with your NCSC20 registration fees. If we don’t hear back from you, we will automatically apply your registration to the 2021 National Charter Schools Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

How will refunds be issued?

All refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method. Please allow up to 60 days for the refund to be processed.

Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses?

NCSC will not reimburse travel expenses. Please contact your airline directly to review cancellation policies and your options.  All hotel rooms booked within the National Alliance room block will be automatically canceled. You will receive a separate e-mail notification from the Marriott World Center.

As an exhibitor, if I cancel what will happen to the fees paid for booth space? 

Exhibitors have the option to receive a full refund, donate the exhibit fees as a tax-deductible charitable contribution or defer their 2020 National Charter Schools Conference booth fee to the 2021 National Charter Schools Conference in New Orleans, June 20-23. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method. Please allow up to 60 days for processing.

As a sponsor, if I cancel will sponsorship packages be refunded?

Sponsors have the option to receive a full refund, donate the sponsorship as a tax-deductible charitable contribution or transfer the sponsorship (based on availability) to the 2021 National Charter Schools Conference in New Orleans, June 20-23. We will work with sponsors on a case-by-case basis to determine the best option. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method. Please allow up to 60 days for processing. 

I submitted a session proposal for NCSC20. What happens to my session?

The impact of COVID-19 has been felt especially hard at the school level and the needs and priorities of schools have changed. Our participants’ content needs have greatly shifted and we are not able to accept any sessions from the call for proposals.
