Updated January 1, 2022

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools (National Alliance) is committed to helping participants feel safe and comfortable during the 2022 National Charter Schools Conference(NCSC22) to maximize the opportunity for real-time connection with peers.

As health guidance evolves and new information becomes available, we will update this page.

State and Local Guidelines

We will follow health and safety guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the District of Columbia, and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. We will post additional details about the health and safety protocols for NCSC22 on this page and email all participants with updates in advance of the event.

During the registration process, you will be asked to confirm that you will uphold safety guidelines and protocols. Reach out to patricia@publiccharters.org with additional questions about health and safety measures.

Proof of Vaccination and Negative Covid Test

In order to be admitted to the NCSC22, all participants and speakers will be required to share proof of both vaccination and a negative COVID test taken no more than 72 hours before the start of the event. We strongly recommend completing these steps at least 24 hours before you join NCSC22.

All participants are required to upload documentation via a secure, third-party portal, or verify documentation on-site. We will be sharing details regarding the portal as the conference draws closer. If you have technical issues, please be prepared to bring proof of vaccination and a photo of your negative COVID test results to check in.

Your name badge will serve as your entry “ticket” into all NCSC22 events. Only participants who have verified vaccination and negative test results will receive a name badge. No one will be admitted into meeting rooms or exhibit space without a conference name badge.

COVID Safety Protocol FAQs

How do I provide proof of vaccination?

All participants are required to upload documentation via a secure, third-party portal, or verify documentation on-site. We will be sharing details via e-mail regarding the portal as the conference draws closer

What happens if I do not upload my immunization card or test results prior to my arrival?

You will not be allowed to obtain your conference badge or participate in any in-person programming until we have received your proof of vaccination and negative COVID-19 test. If you have technical issues, please be prepared to bring proof of vaccination and a photo of your negative COVID test results to check in.

Do participants still have to wear masks in common areas, practice social distancing, and follow other D.C. mandates regarding COVID-19?

It depends! Mask requirements, social distancing expectations and other community safety standards will evolve based on public health conditions and the prevailing requirements put in place by local public health authorities. The National Alliance will share updated guidance as NCSC22 approaches.
